The long wait and trouble of paying passport fees in Pakistan has finally come to an end. The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has launched a new online payment system to make the process simple and fast for citizens.
Easy Online Fee Payment
With this new system, people can now pay their passport fee in just one minute. There is no need to stand in long lines at the National Bank of Pakistan anymore. According to the department’s spokesperson, applicants can now pay their fees through the “Passport Fee Asaan” mobile app or the Paymaster.com.pk website. Both options are available anytime and anywhere.
Purpose of the New System
The main goal of this system is to make the passport process easier, faster, and more efficient. It aims to save citizens’ time and effort by bringing modern technology into government services.
How to Make the Payment
To pay online, users first need to create a Payment Slip ID (PSID). This can be generated using the Passport Fee Asaan app (available on both Android and iPhone) or the Paymaster website.
After creating the PSID, applicants can pay the fee using internet banking, ATM, Easypaisa, or JazzCash. When paying through these services, they need to select the 1Bill option and type 999999 before entering their PSID number.
No More Bank Queues
Once the online payment is completed, applicants can visit their nearest passport office to finish the remaining steps. Now, there is no need to wait in bank queues just to deposit the passport fee. The entire process has become quicker and more convenient.
A Step Toward Digital Pakistan
This new digital system is part of the government’s mission to promote digital services in the country. It reflects a move toward a smart and citizen-friendly Pakistan, where technology helps make daily tasks easier.
Many people have welcomed this change, saying it will save time and reduce stress. With this system, getting a passport is now simpler, faster, and smoother than ever before.
