The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that all of its offices across Pakistan will remain closed for one day. This closure will be observed in line with the public holiday declared by the federal government.
Closure on Allama Iqbal Day
According to official reports, NADRA has confirmed that its offices will stay closed on Sunday, November 9, 2025, to mark Allama Iqbal Day. The decision follows the federal government’s announcement of a nationwide holiday to honor the great poet and thinker of Pakistan, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
This means that all NADRA offices — including those in major cities and small towns — will not be providing in-person services on this day.
24-Hour Service Centers Also Affected
The authority has also informed the public that even its 24-hour service centers will be closed for the same period. These centers will shut down from midnight on November 8, 2025, and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025.
During this short break, citizens will not be able to visit NADRA offices in person for tasks like ID card renewal, registration, or verification.
Online Services Remain Available
Even though the offices will be closed, NADRA has reminded people that they can still access digital services through the “Pak-ID” mobile app. The app allows users to apply for their identity cards, check application status, and manage ID-related services directly from their phones or computers.
Through this app, citizens can continue their applications and perform several functions without visiting the office — making it an easy and convenient option during the closure.
Message to Citizens
NADRA has advised all citizens to plan their visits and applications ahead of time to avoid any inconvenience. People who urgently need ID services are encouraged to use the online system instead of waiting for the offices to reopen.
This temporary closure is part of the national holiday schedule, and services will return to normal after the holiday ends.
With this announcement, NADRA once again highlighted its commitment to providing modern and accessible services through digital solutions, even when physical offices are closed.
