The projected increase in price results from the current global rise in oil prices, as it has been reflected in local fuel prices. Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will execute the level of price adjustment based on regular bi-weekly review incorporating the variation in international level of oil prices and exchange rate changes.
This trend in fuel prices will have the effect of raising transportation costs, entailing a national increase in the price of goods and services in general. Commuters and businesses are recommended to be ready for the upcoming price adjustments. The government is predicted to issue an official announcement soon.
